Children for Change: Young Leaders Shaping Pakistan’s Future

Children are often seen as the beneficiaries of social change, but they can also be powerful agents of change in their own right. Around the world, young people have demonstrated remarkable leadership in advocating for education, environmental protection, child rights, and social justice. When children are given opportunities to participate, organize and express their views, they become active contributors to stronger and more inclusive communities.

This session brings together members of the Children’s Parliament on Right to Education (RTE), who are visiting Islamabad on an exposure trip supported by the Thar Education Alliance. Through their experiences, the discussion will explore how children can develop leadership skills, participate meaningfully in civic life, and advocate for the right to quality education.

Join us for an inspiring conversation with these young changemakers as they share their journeys, challenges, and achievements. The session will explore why children’s voices matter in shaping public policy, what meaningful youth participation looks like, and how empowering young leaders today can help build a more equitable and democratic Pakistan tomorrow.
