This session introduces a new video series of MathSciencePhilosophy channel, on wide ranging topics and their philosophies recorded in nature. Across its first 15 episodes, this series have explored a wide intellectual landscape, including the foundational philosophies of mathematics, physics, biology, AI, consciousness, existentialism, humanism and transhumanism etc.

Join us as we discuss why the wild, open landscape provides the ultimate backdrop for contemplating the deepest questions of existence, science, and the human condition.

About the Speakers:

  • Dr. Naqeeb ur Rehman is a mathematician, educator, and passionate advocate of mathematical and scientific thinking. He earned his MSc and MPhil in mathematics from Quaid i Azam University Islamabad and completed his PhD in mathematics in 2016 from the University of Marburg, Germany, under the prestigious DAAD research program. He has served as a lecturer and assistant professor of mathematics at Air University, Allama Iqbal Open University, and NUMS Islamabad.

    His teaching and research interests span from foundational to advanced levels, covering areas of algebra, topology, knot theory, cellular automata, artificial intelligence, and the philosophy of mathematics. An active mathematics educator and STEAM ambassador, he regularly conducts Open LUMS Math Circles, seminars, and public talks at schools, colleges, universities and The Black Hole. He also runs the OpenMathCircle and MathSciencePhilosophy Facebook page and YouTube channels, dedicated to making mathematics and science accessible, engaging, and intellectually stimulating for a wider audience.

  • Ajaz Ahmed Raja is an Electrical Engineer from UET Lahore, former Director at PTCL, ETISALAT and an international Telecom & IT Consultant. His professional career spans over three decades, during which he collaborated with leading global organizations, including Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies, and Alcatel-Lucent delivering advanced communication and IT infrastructure projects across the Gulf, Europe, and Singapore.

    Beyond engineering, he has keen interests in education, physics, philosophy and history. For ​community development he serves as the General Secretary of the Khakha Education and Welfare Association, aiming educational development, student mentorship, and community welfare initiatives in Azad Kashmir.

  • Muhammad Siddiqui is a passionate tech entrepreneur and full-stack JavaScript developer, with extensive experience in system design and hands-on coding in core banking solution development, Hospital Management System development, as well as many freelance projects, from custom websites development, WordPress, Machine Learning services, to mobile apps for Android and iOS. During MS in AI from NUST, his research focused on autonomous vehicles using deep neural networks. His is currently working as an AI engineer in a pertner firm of Anderson Consulting.

    Beyond tech, Muhammad Siddiqui embraces a holistic approach and has a keen interest in philosophy, psychology, economics, physics and mathematics.
